Privacy Policy

Glide is a file-transfer app that sends files directly between devices on the same local network. This policy explains what data Glide does and does not collect.

What Glide does not do

• Glide has no user accounts, sign-in, or registration of any kind.
• Glide does not run analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or any third-party tracking SDKs.
• Glide does not upload your files, filenames, or transfer history to any server operated by Neverheard Studio or anyone else.
• Glide has no in-app purchases and does not process payments.

How file transfers work

When you send a file with Glide, it goes directly from your device to the recipient's device over your local Wi-Fi network, using an encrypted connection between the two devices. Files never pass through, or get copied to, a remote server. If you are not on the same local network as the recipient, Glide cannot send the file — there is no cloud relay to fall back on.

Permissions Glide requests

• Local network access — to discover nearby devices running Glide and to send or receive files with them.
• Photo library access — only when you choose to pick a photo or video to send, or when you choose to save a received photo or video to your library. Glide does not access your photo library at any other time.

None of the data these permissions expose is transmitted anywhere except to the specific nearby device you choose to send a file to or receive a file from.

Data stored on your device

Glide keeps a local transfer history (filenames and timestamps of files you've sent or received) so you can find them again. This history is stored only on your own device and is never transmitted elsewhere. You can clear it at any time from within the app.

Children's privacy

Glide does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information from anyone at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new "last updated" date.
